If you ask any feng shui practitioner what would be the best facing for period 9, almost all of them would probably answer with it depends.
And rightly so.
This is because in the context of such a question, the assumption is that the asker is a homeowner who wants to benefit from good feng shui. And the answer to this eternal question is not a matter of what direction his or her residence is facing.
It also heavily depends on the floorplan, interiors, and external land forms, etc.

But let’s say a person practices flying stars feng shui and has control over the internal and external environment. And even has total freedom to align his new property as he would be building it from scratch.
Then from 2024, what is the best facing for a house in period 9?
In this new context, purely from a chart and star combinations perspective, there are 3 natal charts that stand out within the 16 charts available in period 9.
Different practitioners would inevitably have differences in opinions as their approach to feng shui would be understandably different.
But here are 3 charts generated based on a property’s facing that most would generally agree are very auspicious.
Facing South 1
The best chart is when a house faces South 1 at between 157.5° – 172.5°.
This is because this special star arrangement is what is known as 七星打劫, or commonly referred to in English as 7 star robbery.
This occurs when the timely star 9 is paired with another 9 at the south and the parent string of 3-6-9 is formed at the south, east and northwest.

Facing Southwest 1
A third desirable chart is the one facing southwest 1.
This has the timely star 9 at the front of the house. In addition, it has a parent string combination of water stars and mountain stars forming from the front to the back of the property.
It is also facing southwest which is the home of star 2 that will become more and more auspicious in the next period.
However, to fully reap the rewards of this chart, the central segment of the house from southwest to northeast has to be properly configured to for activation. Failure which, will mean a redundant chart.
Finally remember that the facing for period 9 stated above is within the context that the chart is all that matters.
